Play therapy

Young children often have a difficult time discussing events and the feelings they have about them. Because play therapy allows indirect or symbolic expressions of emotion and events, it is sometimes used to help children recover from psychological trauma. Play therapy may be viewed as a form of exposure therapy for children.
